DREAMCATCHER BLANKET EXCHANGE PROGRAM
****************************************************
How Does The DreamCatcher Weighted Blanket Exchange Program Work?
We have learned from our son with autism that when a weighted blanket works as well as it did to calm him and help him sleep that as he grew he would need a larger and heavier blanket. Many of our customers also have needed a larger and heavier blanket as their children grew. We all found out that a weighted blanket is something that our children will always need, more so as they grow to adults. The DreamCatcher Weighted Blanket Exchange Program is an idea we thought would be our way to help with the expense of purchasing a new blanket as children grow. Should our customer decide to send an old weighted blanket back to us when through with it, we will credit you, both your shipping cost to us, plus an additional amount based on your original purchase price of the old blanket. This credit will be applied towards the price of a new blanket or reconditioned blanket if available, whichever you prefer.
Blankets originally made by DreamCatcher Weighted Blankets all qualify for the exchange program..
If you would like to place a blanket into our exchange program made by a manufacturer other than DreamCatcher's we will need to speak to you about the construction of the blanket prior to acceptance into the program. Blankets must be filled with high quality poly pellets to qualify in the Exchange Program. No blankets weighted with sand, stone, corn, rice, beans, etc. will be excepted into the exchange program. Blankets that use a poly fill in the inner layers of the blanket will not be excepted in the exchange program.
We hope this helps and works well for everyone wanting to take part in the program and keep the kids in a weighted blanket that will work well for them and provide them with comfort.
What happens to the blankets placed in the program? We repair, re-condition and clean them if needed and either offer them for sale at a reduced price or donate them to those in need.Currently we have a very long waiting list in place for those needing an exchange blanket. If you can donate either fabrics or dollars to the program we would like to direct you to Autism Family Resources. As a non-profit organization, they are currently accepting tax deductible donations to help fund the Give and Make Weighted Blanket Program
